Introducing Stornoway Rowing Club
Stornoway Rowing Club is proud to own Madadh Ruadh, number 21, built over the winter of 2010/11, the first of the Hebridean skiffs.
Introducing the Blue Moon Community Rowing Club
Blue Moon Community Rowing Club is part of The Embark Project, a community activities project run by Volunteering Hebrides on the Isle of Lewis. Embark aims to give opportunities to people, including disadvantaged and vulnerable people, to access outdoor activities that they might not otherwise experience. Fully supported taster rowing sessions in Blue Moon are offered to local community organisations and individuals who will benefit from the experience, giving them the chance to have some fun and promoting the positive effects of rowing on physical and mental well-being. Blue Moon, currently based in Stornoway, also regularly accompanies the other Lewis skiffs for regattas and tours around the Western Isles.
